When I married I thought the only problem I'd face with my new last name was the following: "Blewitt... like 'you blew-it?'" Don't get me wrong I hear that everyday too. However, the prevailing problem is:
Them: Name please?
Me: Blewitt
Them: Lewis?
Me: Blewitt like "you blew-it" with two "T's".
Them: How do you spell that?
Me: Lewis is fine.
Moral of the story? My name is Emily Lewis.

Emily! It's been too long! I found your blog through Megan's. I am laughing so hard right now at your story. This is what I get:
them- "Last name?"
me- "Moss"
them- "Moff?"
me- "No, Moss, with an S as in snake"
them- "Oh, okay. Like, M-A-U-S?"
Who spells Moss like that?
P.S. our blog address is jasonandmelissamoss.wordpress.com
Very funny. In fact, I laughed out loud. Well crafted too.
I didn't even know you had a blog, you cutie! That how our poor baby is going to be. Everytime I tell someone his name they say, "What is it? How do you spell it?" As for your name, haven't they ever seen (or read) Anne of Green Gables?!
