Christmas thoughts

So I've been pondering Christmas, in hopes to make the whole month full of thoughts of Christ's birth, rather than just Sundays and Christmas Eve. I was thinking about John 3: 16-17: "For God so loved the world, that he sent his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." It led to the thought that God gave the ultimate and greatest gift; that of His son- Jesus Christ. He allowed His birth into this world knowing full well what Christ would have to endure. And He did that for us, so that we might have eternal families, clean souls, opportunity for growth and a resurrected body. So as I celebrate Jesus Christ this season and the gifts He has given me, I too celebrate God- He who gave the greatest gift, my Savior Jesus Christ.
